Georges Montillet (Yale University):  Completing his Ph.D. in Arabic Language and Literature, he has been teaching foreign languages for over ten years.  Based on his experiences learning Arabic with friends in Lebanon and Egypt, Georges has tried to recreate the excitement and rapid results of intense peer-oriented, goal-based language learning for his students at AMEI over the past three years.

Mollie Kaufer (Carnegie Mellon University):  Completing her M.A. in Second Language Acquisition with special emphasis on teaching English to Arabic speakers, she has both studied and taught with  AMEI’s summer language and cultural programs since its beginning.  She has been instrumental in designing the AMEI course structure.

Peter Curtis (Harvard University):  Completing his B.A. in Government and Political Science, he has taught English to Arab university students in Cairo and worked in the development of the AMEI curriculum last year.  He is a certified teacher of English as a Second Language.
